INTRODUCING XXPERIMENTAL NO.4, a roasted green oolong hailing from our farm on Shanlinxi. Unlike our traditional unroasted green oolong that we look forward to each season (low-key my favorite style), we’ve increased the temp 5 degrees and continued finishing this tea with a 5 hour roast.

The result? an xxperimental oolong that lightly evokes the flavors and aromas of a roasted barley tea or freshly baked bread. So if you’re into soba cha, genmai cha, barley tea, or any other grain tea, you’re going get hype with the flavors & caffeine in this one 🤤 Note: this tea is nothing like our red oolong, that’s been roasted for ~20 hours.

What’s the deal with the xxperimental lineup? Welcome to my fun house of tea experiments, where we mess around with processing styles to create some non-traditionally teas. Always delicious, many times amazing, these teas start as extremely limited batches + sometimes, just sometimes, they join the regular collection.

This is an extremely limited batch release. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
