INTRODUCING XXPERIMENTAL NO.3, a black tea hailing from the evergreen forest mountains of Shanlinxi. This tea is made from oolong leaves of the qingxin cultivar (青心). Upon harvest, rather than let the freshly picked tea leaves entering the withering/bruising cycle, they’re withered and sent directly to the roaster. For full effect, this black tea is processed in classic style utilizing the strip-style of twisted leaves.
For everyone interested in the affect of tea processing on flavor, snag this one and compare 1:1 with any of our teas from Shanlinxi. You’ll be amazed at just how different they taste.
As far as flavor profile, this black tea is a little fruity, a bit malty, and not very astringent. It has a full mouthfeel goes down easy without needing milk. One might say, ideal for bubble tea ;)
This is an extremely limited batch release. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
