Everyone remembers their first ;) SO MAY I INTRODUCE XXPERIMENTAL NO.2, a roasted green oolong hailing from the mountains of Alishan. This tea is a lotta firsts for me. It’s first style of oolong I became addicted to, it’s from the first tea farm I ever visited, and it’s first time I’m willing to open up my treasure trove and share it with you.
What’s so good about it? It’s got a crazy long aftertaste (I’m salivating as I write this), the kind that’ll linger in your throat for almost an hour after drinking it.
If you wanna get technical… we’re using the qingxin cultivar (青心) and growing it at ~1300m. Using the 2019 winter harvest, we’ve given it an extended oxidation period and finished off with a 10 hour roast. Upon drinking, retronasal olfaction is hyper-present — this tea is LIT.
